QBE's global executive talent acquisition team is recruiting for a senior technology audit professional to lead QBE's international IT audit team. In this key senior role you will be delivering against a clear strategy that identifies and analyses risks to the business, recommends improvements to the control environment and monitors resulting management action plans.
As well as leading a global team to deliver these objectives, you will be a key member of the Internal Audit leadership team, playing a part in driving the overall strategy of the function and engaging with an executive and Board stakeholder group.
Reporting to QBE's Group Head of Internal Audit, this role can be located either in London UK or Sydney Australia.
Key accountabilities include:
- Lead the development, maintenance and execution of the GIA (Group Internal Audit ) IT Strategy and is responsible for ensuring implementation at a global and division level
- Drive audit outcomes to ensure that business areas are meeting and delivering the necessary requirements
- Support the Group Head of IA in communicating the Global IT GIA strategy and plan to senior stakeholders
- Monitor the global IT Audit Universe, risk profiles and stakeholder requirements and uses the results to update the strategy and plan
- Identify and leverage external best practice and opportunities to reduce risk and to improve internal frameworks
- Ensure opportunities for changes to technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness are identified and implemented
- Deliver reports to the Audit Committee, Executive and Senior Management to ensure that the information is clear, concise and professionally delivered
- Develop a culture of accountability and teamwork through effective performance management
This is an opportunity for a career IT audit professional or a seasoned technology professional with demonstrable audit leadership experience. You will possess exceptional stakeholder management skills and enjoy the challenge and opportunity of leading and mentoring audit professional internationally.
Ideal skills & experience:
- Extensive Audit experience
- A strong understanding of cyber, infrastructure, software development and IT program delivery
- Experience delivering or being involved in transformation programmes
- Experience in a regulated environment, ideally Financial Services
- Communication of complex information including strong report writing skills
- Ability to influence at a senior level
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
