Head Of It And Technology

We are seeking a Head of IT & Technology to lead a Healthcare SME in their strategic five-year digital transformation initiative.

This business aims to improve their  technology capabilities considerably, which will increase their ability to make a real difference in people’s lives at period's when they need critical healthcare support.
As Head of IT and Technology you will play a pivotal role in executing a five-year transformation plan. This includes:

• Enhancing the company's core case management system.

• Optimizing technology infrastructure

• Ensuring robust security measures

• Leveraging data insights for reporting.

Key Responsibiliites

• Lead the company's digital transformation moving them away from outdated systems.

• Provide direction and leadership for a lean technology team.

• Assume responsibility for all IT and Technology projects including:

  • Implement a secure, cloud-based, scalable and user friendly case management platform which is used by both internal users and external customers.

  • Modernisation of custom-built reports and dashboards used by internal departments and external customers.

• Develop new strategies and procedures with IT & Technology to increase efficiency, enhance workflow and improve customer satisfaction.

• Full analysis of business needs and translate them into actionable technical requirements.

• Oversee vendor selection, integration, and implementation of new technologies.

• Manage key vendor & third-party relationships and ensure a high quality of service is being delivered.

• Assess their technology and infrastructure on a regular basis and identify and recommend new technology solutions that can strengthen the business.

• Lead the company’s data security strategy ensuring that customer data is secure and protected.

• Identify skills needed in the team and recruit

• Manage Annual IT and Technology Budget

• Represent IT and Technology at all management meetings

Skills and Experience Required

• Proven leadership experience, ideally in managing a small, cross-functional IT / Technology team.

• Strong technical background with a broad understanding of cloud technologies, IT infrastructure and software implementation projects.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Strong knowledge and experience of implementing and maintaining robust IT/Data security practices.

• Proven experience of leading digital transformation technology projects.

• Strong people management experience.

• Experience of managing a department budget

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
