37.5 hours per week, £37,000 to £42,000 per annum (depending on experience), plus staff benefits

Learning and Engagement sits alongside our Theatres and Galleries programme as a strategic priority and a central pillar of The Lowry. We are proud of our sector leading programmes with young people, families and communities and the Head of the Learning & Engagement is instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of the strategy. The Head of L&E will connect with The Lowry’s wider artistic work and objectives, developing high quality, accessible and inclusive creative programmes with and for a diverse range of children, young people and communities.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Learning and Engagement to manage The Lowry’s Learning and Engagement team (L&E) in the successful delivery of the Learning & Engagement strategy, connecting with The Lowry’s wider artistic work and objectives. Developing creative programmes with and for a diverse range of children, young people and communities.
You will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of The Lowry's youth and community work across Salford and the North West. Ensuring that all activities, projects and programmes delivered by the L&E team are high quality, upholding best practice, embedding co-creation and ensuring our work is reflective of our local communities.
This role is responsible for the management of the team, the departments operations and finances. You will have excellent communication and networking skills, experience of partnership working and a background in the arts sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the interests and needs of children, young people, families and local communities, supporting the effective delivery and evaluation of all L&E programmes.
