Head of Market and Customer Insight

We are looking for an experienced Insight professional to cover a12 month period of maternity leave at the University of Salford. Thiscross-Directorate role will bring together both Market and Customer Insight toencompass the full student journey. As Head of Customer and Market Insight,you’ll undertake work across 5 key areas:
- Studentrecruitment
- StudentVoice
- Courseportfolio
- Admissions
- Marketing& Communications

Key responsibilities
- Provideinspirational leadership to the Insight team, enabling them to deliver theobjectives and plans of the team by focusing on the performance and developmentneeds of the team, and by ensuring that the team is making best and mostefficient use of individual skillsets.
- Maximisethe effective utilisation of colleagues’ skills, minimise duplication of effortacross teams and ensure that the refocussed team is delivering greater value tothe university.
- Workclosely with the recruitment and marketing teams to ensure marketing plans andrecruitment activity delivers in line with feedback from (prospective) studentsand is focused on areas of growth, where University of Salford can have acompelling offer.

A bit about the Marketing, Recruitment and ExternalRelations team…
Our Marketing, Recruitment and External Relations team areresponsible for the core range of activities that promote and engage with ourexternal environment and stakeholders. This includes both prospective andcurrent students, businesses and our local community. Made up of Marketing andCommunications, Student Recruitment and Outreach and External Relations teams,we work together to plan and deliver key activities that support theUniversity’s ambitions for growth, diversity and an increased profile. Theyalso provide marketing expertise to colleagues and support events, corporateprojects and new initiatives across the University.
