You will be responsible for leading the marketing department in developing and maintaining marketing strategies to create value and increase the profitability of the Restaurants.
There is a requirement of working at least 3 days per week in Brighton.
Overall Purpose:
The Head of Marketing is a key leadership role, responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing and digital strategies to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth for the restaurant. This individual will leverage both traditional and digital marketing channels to create impactful campaigns, enhance the Group's online presence, and optimise the customer experience.
Working closely with the Head of Sales to create value and increase the profitability of each of the restaurants within the Black Rock Group.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Develop and execute the annual marketing strategy, and all campaigns for the year, for each of the restaurants.
- Identify target market segments and create tailored marketing strategies for each.
- Attend HOD meetings, sharing strategies, progress, results, learnings, and relevant industry trends.
- Ensure a member of the marketing team attends the quarterly GM meetings updating on strategy, planned events and ROI on previous campaigns.
- Digital Marketing:
- Oversee the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns across various platforms (social media, email, website, mobile apps, etc.).
- Manage SEO and SEM strategies to enhance online visibility and drive organic traffic.
- Plan and execute all paid ad campaigns including Google search, Google display, and social media ads, regularly updating visuals and ads depending on active marketing campaigns.
- Ensure the updating of website news articles, images, and restaurant menus - maintaining best practices for SEO and user optimisation.
- Social Media Management:
- Lead social media initiatives to enhance brand presence and engage with the target audience.
- Monitor trends and industry developments to stay ahead in the competitive landscape.
- Collaborate with external photographers/videographers to plan regular shoots for third-party sites, social media, and our website.
- Content Creation:
- Develop compelling and creative content for various marketing channels, ensuring consistency with the brand image, and sustaining the growth of engagement and followers.
- Collaborate with internal teams or external agencies to create visual and written content.
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM):
- Manage current CRM systems to analyse customer data and tailor marketing strategies accordingly.
- Ensure the marketing team understand each venue’s clientele, to best capture their needs.
- Develop loyalty programs and initiatives to retain and reward customers.
- Review CRM annually to ensure it is the best value for money.
- Analytics and Reporting:
- Utilise analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of Marketing campaigns and provide regular reports to the management team.
- Make data-driven decisions to optimise marketing performance.
- Partnerships and Collaborations:
- Identify and initiate partnerships with influencers, local businesses, or community organizations to expand each brand’s reach.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with vendors, agencies, and other partners.
- Manage all third-party listings such as OpenTable, Design My Night, Timeout, TripAdvisor, Square Meal, Restaurants Brighton, Google etc...
- Budget Management:
- Develop the marketing budget with the finance team on an annual basis in line with the financial year.
- Manage the set marketing budget and allocation, ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI.
- Uphold and enhance each of the restaurant's brand identity across all marketing channels being creative to push the brands forward and not just turn to media spend or traditional approaches.
- Ensure consistency in messaging, visuals, and customer experience.
Whilst every attempt has been made to capture all of the job duties, there may be times when other duties may be assigned from time to time. Skills & Experience: - Preferable but not essential – CIM Marketing Qualification / Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
