As the Head of Operational Insight and Performance, you will be accountable for overseeing performance, capacity, reporting, forecasting, strategic initiatives, and cost management. You will lead our Sales and Operational Planning (S&OP) activities and participate directly into the Commercial Planning Forum. Your collaboration with key stakeholders will be crucial in implementing strategic initiatives to drive growth and efficiency, ensuring we achieve our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Lead the organisation in setting strategic direction, working closely with the Operational Leadership Team and representing Operations both internally and externally.
• Performance Management: Hold Operations accountable for performance, quality, quantity, and cost, ensuring the delivery of the annual plan.
• Capacity Planning: Manage all capacity planning activities across the department, optimising resource levels and deployment in line with demand forecasts and operational requirements.
• Forecasting and Reporting: Oversee forecasting functions, provide performance updates, and develop strategies to ensure delivery of initiatives for customers and internal stakeholders.
• KPI Monitoring: Continuously monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and take accountability for implementing performance-enhancing actions.
• Resource Planning: Lead resource planning activities, evaluate data requirements, and ensure optimal resource allocation.
• Operational Reviews: Conduct weekly and monthly reviews of Operational and financial metrics to identify and mitigate risks to delivery or efficiency.
• Reporting: Manage all operational reports for internal and external stakeholders, serving as the single source of truth for all performance and operational data outputs.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in Sales and Operational Planning (S&OP)
• Experience of working in an operationally focussed role.
• Proven experience of transforming data into insights using visualisation tools
• Industry knowledge is advantageous
• Excellent Excel and mathematical competency.
• Computer literate with ability to operate Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (incl. communicating with clients).
• Ability to build short- and long-term forecasts
