SalaryI am excited to be working with an amazing refugee support organisation in search of an Interim (6-months) Head of Operations. This position sits within the charity’s Senior Management Team and has line management responsibility for the advice and support services. As Head of Operations, you will provide operational and organisational leadership as a key member of the senior management team, implementing the necessary changes required to meet the needs of the charity moving forward.
Main duties:
Service Management, Development and Delivery:
Line management responsibility for Housing and Welfare, Immigration, Women’s Project, Access to Healthcare, Business Operations, outreach services and other services that may develop.
Manage the growth and success of the teams ensuring effective and efficient delivery of the organisations programme of services including ensuring appropriate systems and procedures are in place.
Support managers to identify and develop creative and innovative programmes and service delivery solutions.
Provide people management support to managers and help in the development and performance of their team and members.
Work with team managers to develop systems and procedures to ensure clients receive the best possible service from all programmes.
Handle complaints made in relation to service provision.
Ensure information is easily accessible to all staff and volunteers by managing and updating our intranet.
People and Volunteer Management:
Ensure the coordination and administration of the recruitment, onboarding and induction of new staff including volunteer staff.
Coordinate and ensure the effective management of any disciplinary or complaints procedures.
Organise staff training in line with our training plan.
Ensure all HR policies are up to date.
Compliance
Embed and manage effective business compliance across programmes
Be the lead responsible officer for Health & Safety and responsible for (Data Protection Officer) and data security
Act as Deputy Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
Ensure Risk Registers are reviewed, and measures implemented.
