A dynamic Secondary Academy based in the heart of an evolving community in Central London, are seeking an established Head of Operations and Finance, with a proven track record of running Operations and Finance functions within Educational, Charities or other Not-for-Profit organisations.
The successful Head of Operations and Finance will ideally have an ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent finance qualification.
Head of Operations and Finance duties include:
- Strategic and operational leadership.
- Finance, procurement, IT, HR, estates and facilities management, health, and safety, catering and governance, risk management and GDPR.
- Management of the academy’s business support functions.
- Promoting ‘best practice’ ensuring policy and procedures are embedded across the Trust.
- Responsible for all non-education related statutory, regulatory and Trust wide compliance i.e. H&S, audits, DfE/ESFA reporting.
- Working closely with the Principal acting as Trust liaison.
- All financial planning, budget management and financial reporting.
- Promoting safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people.
Head of Operations and Finance Requirements:
- School Business Manager Qualification e.g. DSBM, CSBM, ADSBM or MSc School Business Management.
- Some form of finance or business qualification i.e. ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CIPFA, ICAEW, ICAS, CIOT.
- Previous school experience or within a charitable or non-for-profit setting.
- Substantial experience managing budgets, financial reporting, procurement, and fixed assets.
