Reading School is seeking to appoint a dynamic and experienced Head of Operations and Projects as soon as possible, to provide strategic vision and practical leadership of the operations of the Academy, including site, facilities, Health and Safety and administrative services.
The Head of Operations and Projects will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team, playing an integral role in helping the Academy fulfil its strategic aims.
You will lead on site improvements, submit funding bids, ensure compliance with legal and statutory responsibilities and above all, establish positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders both internally and externally ensuring the impact on others is considered at the heart of any decision making.
- Lead on strategic planning of day-to-day operations, particularly in relation to buildings and premises, administration and Projects.
- Manage the relevant budgets and proactively research and source grant and bid funding for projects, including writing and submitting bid applications.
What we’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience of strategic planning and delivery of strategy.
- Has a proven track record of estate management, building management or facilities management.
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Can demonstrate effective line management skills.
- Can evidence experience of financial planning and budgetary management.
