Head Of People

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to join a vibrant and growing tech organisation based in Salford. I am seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of People to join the company on a 4-month fixed-term contract (FTC), with the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right individual. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of their senior leadership team, contribute to the overall direction of the business, and make a significant impact in a dynamic environment.

As the Head of People, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the company culture, driving employee engagement, and fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment. This is an all-encompassing generalist role where you'll have the opportunity to lead HR initiatives, develop strategies, and collaborate closely with senior leaders to achieve organisational goals.

This is a hybrid role, with three days in the office, two from home.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

• Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Provide guidance and support on people-related initiatives to drive organisational growth and success.

Employee Engagement and Culture:

• Champion a positive and inclusive company culture that empowers employees and fosters a sense of belonging.
• Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, well-being, and satisfaction.

Talent Acquisition and Management:

• Working closely with the internal recruiter, oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and attracting top talent to onboarding and retention.
• Implement effective talent management strategies to support career development and succession planning.

Performance Management:

• Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback mechanisms, and performance reviews.
• Provide coaching and support to managers on performance-related matters.

Employee Relations and Compliance:

• Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.
• Stay abreast of employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance across all HR practices.

HR Operations and Administration:

• Manage HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, and HR systems.
• Streamline HR processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably within the tech industry.
• Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business objectives into HR initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organisation.
• Demonstrated experience in driving employee engagement, culture, and organisational development.
• Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
• Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
• CIPD qualification or equivalent is desirable.
