Head of Procurement - Translink

MCS Group is delighted to be working on behalf of Translink, to exclusively recruit for the Head of Procurement to join their Leadership team.

As the Head of Procurement, you will support the delivery of the corporate objectives of Translink (the Group), using strategic and operational procurement best practice, which is compliant with Government Policies, EU Directives and in line with the Group’s corporate governance framework.

Give strategic and operational direction to a team comprising of Procurement Advisors, Buyers, and support staff to deliver procurement activity to achieve the best value for the Group. The Head of Procurement will play a key role in ensuring that the Group delivers on its strategic aims and objectives.

Essential Criteria

• Minimum of a Degree level qualification or equivalent
• Full Member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply or equivalent
• Minimum of three years senior management experience in a Procurement role within a complex organisation
• Experience of managing procurement, across a range of specialisms and of varying complexity.
• Experience of developing and implementing procurement policies and strategic solutions to support organisational performance, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practice.
• Experience of delivering commercially focused procurement solutions
• Experience of successfully collaborating with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful delivery of projects.
• Experience of successfully leading a team to deliver key organisation objectives.
