Head Of Product - Insurance

This senior management role, reporting to the Chief Underwriting Officer, focuses on guiding product proposition development and executing a customer-centered strategy for sustainable growth.

The Role:

• Formulate and implement the product strategy, emphasizing the integration of data, analytics, and technology for enhanced underwriting and customer outcomes.
  
• Hold P&L responsibility for portfolios in accordance with budget and strategy.
  
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Sales, Marketing, and Claims teams to develop strategic business plans, providing clarity to the Sales force and Intermediaries on underwriting risk appetite and supporting growth propositions.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Implement underwriting policies across all portfolios, maintaining a governance framework for vigilant monitoring of business quality.
• Ensure new products are developed and monitored in compliance with Product Oversight & Governance regulations and company policy.
  

Education: The Head of Product should have a business degree and hold a professional insurance designation.

Experience: Demonstrate significant and proven experience in senior roles and cross-functional operations within insurance companies, both domestically and internationally.

• Demonstrate commercial awareness and a deep understanding of the non-life insurance market.
• Exhibit outstanding numerical, analytical, and organizational skills, coupled with effective communication.
• Embrace a collegiate approach and demonstrate the ability to work effectively across functions.
• Possess personal attributes such as confidence, independence of mind, gravitas, constructive challenge, and influencing skills.
• Show enthusiasm, drive, and a can-do attitude.
• Have experience leading professionals in complex technical areas and proven skills in developing others.
