Head of Projects & Transformation
Function: IT
Reports to: IT Director
Job Summary:
Leading IT Projects and Transformation initiatives, managing resources, prioritising projects, facilitating business engagement, ensuring compliance, and driving value outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Programme & Project Management: Overseeing project delivery.
- Change Management: Planning and implementing transitions, stakeholder engagement.
- Strategic Planning: Aligning actions with business objectives.
- IT Resourcing: Acquisition, onboarding, and deployment of resources.
- Workforce Planning: Estimating demand, bridging skill gaps, and influencing policies.
- IT Portfolio Management: Aligning investments with strategies, ensuring effective delivery.
- IT Governance: Executing operating framework and managing relationships.
- Acceptance Testing: Validating systems and services against acceptance criteria.
Key Relationships:
Managing relationships with business stakeholders and collaborating with various IT functions.
Measures of Success:
Achievements in IT resourcing, change management, testing efficiency, strategic planning, ROI, program/project delivery, governance compliance, and leadership performance.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Relevant certifications preferred.
- Strong financial analysis skills required.
- Experience in project management, risk assessment, strategic planning, and portfolio management required.
- Demonstrated success in senior IT leadership roles required.
- Effective stakeholder management, people management, and commercial acumen required.
- Hands-on understanding of project management methodologies, IT quality assurance, risk management, and transition to support approaches required.
- Proven track record in managing and deploying mission-critical IT solutions required.
