We're on the hunt for an experienced and passionate Head of School on behalf of our client who are a leading provider of education, care and support services for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities in the UK. - Accountable for all areas of operational and educational performance within the school
- Managing the financial performance and the education and support staff
- Establishing and overseeing systems, processes and policies for effective school operation
- Identifying problems and barriers to school effectiveness and developing realistic, timely strategies for school improvement
- Monitoring progress towards achieving the school's aims and objectives
- Allocating financial resources appropriately, efficiently and effectively
- Undertaking Safeguarding duties supported by the Principal
- Experience as a Head Teacher with a track record of success in SEND environments
- Qualified Teacher Status with further professional qualification in a relevant area
- Experience of working as a senior leader within an ASD environment
- A clear understanding of Ofsted frameworks and Safeguarding legislation in relation to independent schools
- Quality assurance experience (such as lesson observations and performance management)
- Team management experience
- Superb communication and stakeholder management skills
