As the Engineering, Capital, and Projects Buyer, you will spearhead procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and oversee the entire procurement cycle for engineering projects and maintenance events. Your role will be pivotal in shaping their procurement landscape and contributing to our overall success.

Key responsibilities as Senior Buyer:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for engineering projects and maintenance events.
- Support the Procurement Manager in embedding procurement strategies and policies.
- Manage the procurement cycle from sourcing to execution, ensuring timely delivery.
- Cultivate and manage supplier relationships to mitigate risks and enhance value.
- Foster cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure procurement visibility and effectiveness.
- Monitor supplier performance and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
- Maintain approved supplier lists and support the engineering spend category.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of procurement contracts in the ERP system.
- Develop clear KPIs for supplier performance and value generation.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience for this Senior Buyer Role:
- 10+ years of procurement experience with a proven track record of delivering results.
- Independent leadership in procurement activities and project management.
- Proficiency in developing and executing procurement strategies in evolving business environments.
- Strong experience in supplier performance management, competitive bidding, and contract negotiation.
- Background in heavy industries such as engineering, oil and gas, chemicals
- MCIPS qualification and/or degree in a relevant field.
