We are looking for an inspirational and visionary individual for the full-time post of Head of Sociology, who can build on the academic success of the Sociology department, to lead and further develop the team. You should have a track record of outstanding success and be committed to providing the highest quality education for all students.

SOCIOLOGY at Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College
Sociology is currently taught to A Level with over 350 students studying the subject, which follows the AQA specification. This includes compulsory topics: Education, Crime & Deviance and Theory & Methods and optional topics: Families & Households and Beliefs in Society. The department is progressive in terms of its approach with a strong emphasis on encouraging a positive rapport between staff and students in the pursuit of academic success. There is a friendly and professional atmosphere and a wealth of experience with a strong encouragement to undertake CPD. This is an exciting time to join the Sociology department, with newly refurbished accommodation and specialist resources. Ideally, applicants should have a track record of outstanding success teaching Sociology.
