My client is a renowned Japanese restaurant dedicated to serving authentic and innovative Japanese cuisines ( Japanese Wagyu, Australian Wagyu, Australian beef offal, and American grains ) in a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere in London Soho!
We are looking for a Head Waiter / Sommelier to join the one of Asia's Top Fine dining restaurant.
Main responsibility :
You will be expected to serve guests requirements to their satisfaction, efficiently and courteously. To pride yourself on your extensive knowledge in service standards, wine and food and will use this to help supervise, assist and develop waiters on their station, in order to ensure correct procedures and standards are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Be exceptionally organised and comfortable working in a busy and fast-paced environment.
- Thrive on sharing your passion for food and wine with the team and our guests
- Deliver outstanding service to our guests and meet KPI’s
- Obtain knowledge and skills from Restaurant Manager
- Contribute ideas with regards to wine nights, wine pairings and events
- Have knowledge on Yakiniku, Wagyu beef and the full menu offering
- Managing any Member or guest complaints effectively at the time, asking for support as required
- Working closely with the Restaurant Manager to help achieve the weekly revenue and profit targets
- Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures throughout the venue, including health & safety and food safety procedure
Requirements and skills
- Have previous experience in a similar setting
- Have extensive knowledge in wine and sake
- Experience in wine pairing a recommendations
- Have extensive knowledge of quality spirits and wines with a passion to continually develop the drinks offering
- Availability to work nights and weekend
- Knowledge of Japanese or Mandarin a bonus but not a necessity
