Job Title: Headteacher
Location: Brookthorpe Hall School, Brookthorpe, Gloucestershire
Salary: GBP65,000 - GBP75,000 per annum dependent on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Full Time

We are looking for an inspiring Headteacher to join our outstanding team at Brookthorpe School. As Headteacher, you will promote a relentless focus on high quality, creative learning and safe and secure care. You will oversee our pupil's educational needs, maximising pupil's achievement, and their ability to develop as well as maintain a safe and secure environment.
This is a great opportunity for a Headteacher who is looking to be an innovative strategic leader. Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure and you will be the custodian of our strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible.
About the role
You will exercise dynamic leadership of the school and ensure the full development of the vision for the service, its promotion and continuous improvement
You will create a shared vision and strategic plan which inspires and motivates pupils, staff and all other members of the school community. This vision should express core educational values and moral purpose and be inclusive of stakeholders' values and beliefs. The strategic planning process is critical to sustaining school improvement and ensuring that the school moves forward for the benefit of its pupils.
Essential
Relevant experience in the specialist area of the service i.e., relevant experience of working with young people/young adults with autistic spectrum disorders and/or challenging behaviour Relevant experience as a Head Teacher or Deputy Head Teacher Experience of Ofsted procedures / inspections Managing budgets effectively and ensuring cost efficiency Relevant Teaching Qualification About the School
Brookthorpe Hall School is a specialist provision providing full-time specialised co-education for young people aged 7 to 16 with a range of complex needs, communication difficulties and associated challenging behaviour. This may include social, emotional and mental health needs and also pupils who have been diagnosed with autism or demonstrate behaviours associated with autism.
For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. As part of Outcomes First Group, we are leading our sector in setting and delivering new approaches that provide measurable outcomes for those in our care.
