One of our clients are currently looking to recruit for the following position.
Job Title: Health & Safety Advisor
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Teddington, Middlesex, TW11
Salary: £43 - 46k per annum plus excellent benefits
Working hours: 36 per week
Work pattern: 5 days on site (required due to being part of the emergency response team)
Expected Start Date: ASAP
Security Clearance: Will be required to obtain SC clearance (This will not delay a start if you do not already hold this)

About the Role
Our clients Laboratory is helping to combat issues on a global scale such as climate change, curing diseases and the development of cutting-edge communications technology.
Their workplace is as varied as their research. No matter where their people are, they have the right to feel safe and secure. Foremost, you will be the Health And Safety point of contact for your dedicated areas, forging trusting relationships and providing advice. You'll formalise the companies Health And Safety audit processes and procedures and carry out regular audits, making recommendations for improvements as required. You'll keep up-to-speed with any legal and best practise developments, keep your skills and knowledge up to date with regular training and be part of the Teddington site Emergency Response team.
About You
As someone who has Health And Safety experience already, you're looking to bring your expertise to challenge what we do and make improvements where you can. A formal relevant qualification is essential, as are great communication skills (written and verbal). Beyond that, we're looking for Someone who'll thrive in an environment like ours. The skills and experience you will bring to the role:
* Proven experience within Health And Safety
* NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ equivalent as a minimum, supported by deep experience.
* Member of IOSH or IIRSM
* Experience in a dynamic environment, ideally in Research, Laboratory, University, Engineering or similar industry
* Experience of auditing and conducting incident investigations
* Ability to collaborate, working as a team within HSE and wider organisation
* Ability to make decisions, set priorities and work autonomously
* High levels of attention to detail
It would be great if you did have:
* NEBOSH Diploma, NCRQ Level 6 or NVQ equivalent
* Demonstrable experience in technical safety - process systems / pressure systems / thermal systems / ATEX / DSEAR
* Competence in biological or chemical risk management
* Experience of fire risk management
* Experience with ISO 45001 and/or quality management systems
* Knowledge of CDM Regs 2015
