Health And Safety Advisor

Responsibilities:

1. Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

   • Conduct thorough risk assessments for various aspects of the project.
   • Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies to ensure a safe working environment.

2. Regulatory Compliance:

   • Stay abreast of all relevant Health and Safety legislation and regulations.
   • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety standards.

3. Training and Education:

   • Provide comprehensive Health and Safety training to employees, contractors, and other stakeholders.
   • Foster a safety-conscious culture through educational initiatives and awareness campaigns.

4. Incident Investigation:

   • Lead investigations into Health and Safety incidents, providing detailed reports and recommendations.
   • Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

5. Safety Audits and Inspections:

   • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
   • Collaborate with project teams to implement necessary changes based on audit findings.

6. Emergency Preparedness:

   • Develop and maintain emergency response plans for various project scenarios.
   • Coordinate and conduct regular drills to ensure the effectiveness of emergency procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor in the civil engineering or construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant Health and Safety regulations and best practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (NEBOSH, IOSH, etc.) is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
