Health And Safety Advisor

Our client within the manufacturing industry is looking for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor.
This position is based in Alton, and you must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a related field (manufacturing or engineering environment)
You must have a NEBOSH qualification, and it would also be a benefit to have experience with internal auditing.
Key Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor:

• Carry out site inspections and integrated process audits
• Assisting with customer queries according Reach, RoHS, Conflict Minerals etc.
• Provide training and guidance to personnel, including H&S inductions for new employees
• Assists investigating internal complaints, customer non-conformities and accidents
• Review existing safe systems of work and risk assessment
• Help to generate general and specific Risk Assessments (Compliance, FMEA, COSHH, DSEAR, Manual Handling, PUWER etc)
• Support creation of Standardised / Safe Operating Procedures / PSS etc

Key Skills as the Health and Safety Advisor:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related field (Manufacturing/Engineering)
• NEBOSH Certification or other accredited qualification
• Internal auditor experience would be very desirable
• Proficiency within computer hardware/software applications, including Word and Excel
• HND/HNC or degree qualification
• Adhere to all ISO 9001, environmental and Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to working
