Health and Safety Manager
Initial Contract for six months.
Hybrid working pattern.
Day Rate 160 to 180 a day.
Role Overview:
As the Health, Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and well–being of our workforce. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Health and Safety management, including policy development, training, auditing, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires someone with experience in leading and managing a multidisciplinary team, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of Health and Safety regulations in the public sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain Health and Safety policies and procedures in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions.
Plan, deliver, and evaluate training programs to ensure all employees are adequately trained in Health and Safety practices.
Act as a point of contact for Health and Safety inquiries, concerns, and incidents, providing timely and effective resolution.
Collaborate with other departments to integrate Health and Safety considerations into operational processes and decision–making.
Stay informed about emerging trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in Health and Safety management.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in occupational Health and Safety, environmental science, or a related field.
Professional certification in Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is highly desirable.
Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of managing teams and driving results.
Deep knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and standards in the public sector.
Experience in conducting audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
Demonstrated ability to plan, deliver, and evaluate training programs effectively.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong problem–solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast–paced environment.
