Sweco Ireland are currently looking for a talented and motivated Health and Safety PSDP Consultant to join our External Health and Safety Team in Dublin. The team offer innovative and creative solutions, covering compliance for projects relating to all relevant regulations. We deliver an interesting and wide variety of projects in a cooperative, inclusive and cost-effective way, offering extra value and reassurance to our clients.
What does the Health and Safety PSDP Consultant role involve?
As a technical Health and Safety Professional, you will deliver a wide range of consultancy services:
- Fulfilling the duties of the PSDP as outlined in the Safety Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013.
- Reviewing designs and designer risk assessments regarding compliance with Health and Safety legislation.
- Undertaking site inspections and preparing reports with proposed corrective actions.
- Coordinating residual hazards and risks.
- Providing competent advice to clients and designers for compliance with legislation and best practice.
- Reviewing contractor safety documentation.
Client focus is at the heart of what we do. You will play a key role in our overall client relationship management process and support senior members of the team with new business opportunities.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Hold a higher education qualification in design, engineering, surveying or a construction related discipline.
- Hold (or demonstrate that you are working towards) chartered membership of a relevant professional institution.
- Have demonstrable PSDP project experience including the preparation of related document reporting.
- Have experience of managing Health and Safety risk processes within the design and construction industry.
- Have comprehensive working knowledge of Irish PSDP and Health and Safety Regulations/Legislation and a general understanding of the Building Regulations.
