Health & Safety Advisor
Full Time Permanent-North Dublin
Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional? Our client, a leading utilities company are looking for a H&S Advisor with a background in Energy or Construction to join their team. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.

The ideal candidate will need the following:

  • Qualification in Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in the construction or energy sector is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and standards
  • Experience managing regulatory Audits & Inspections.
  • Proven track record of implementing and maintaining effective Health & Safety strategy & training in an onsite environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
  • Maintain and monitor existing safe systems of work and introduce improvements where necessary.
  • Keep up to date with all aspects of relevant health, safety and welfare at work legislation and communicate and/or recommend relevant changes to the business.
  • Maintain Health & Safety induction programmes for contractors and employees and ensure all other H&S training is kept up to date.
  • Update and monitor the Health and Safety management system
  • Ensure that job specific Health and Safety plans, risk assessments and method statements are prepared and reviewed for all planned work.
  • Ensure that all incidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
  • Carry out risk assessments, routine inspections and site audits as required.
