The ideal candidate will need the following:
- Qualification in Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in the construction or energy sector is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and standards
- Experience managing regulatory Audits & Inspections.
- Proven track record of implementing and maintaining effective Health & Safety strategy & training in an onsite environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
- Ensure that all Health and Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
- Maintain and monitor existing safe systems of work and introduce improvements where necessary.
- Keep up to date with all aspects of relevant health, safety and welfare at work legislation and communicate and/or recommend relevant changes to the business.
- Maintain Health & Safety induction programmes for contractors and employees and ensure all other H&S training is kept up to date.
- Update and monitor the Health and Safety management system
- Ensure that job specific Health and Safety plans, risk assessments and method statements are prepared and reviewed for all planned work.
- Ensure that all incidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
- Carry out risk assessments, routine inspections and site audits as required.
