Historic Environment Scotland (HES) is seeking candidates for with an up to date working knowledge of all aspects of health and safety management and risk assessment to join the People Directorate in the role of Health & Safety Advisor, primarily supporting our North Region.
If you are someone who has previous experience in a health and Safety Advisory role, good written and verbal communication skills, and a NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (or equivalent), then this could be a fantastic opportunity for you.
About the role
HES is a unique organisation with a broad range of functions. We are a 'Non-department Public Body' (NDPB) with charitable status, as well as operating as a national commercial business within the tourism sector. As one of four Health and Safety Advisors, you will be responsible for providing professional advice and support to over 1,600 staff in the organisation across a variety of directorates and teams including: administration, monument conservation and construction, research, retail and tourism, and inspection, ensuring that we are promoting a positive safety culture.
About you
To be successful, you will have experience in experience of working for a multi-site operation, a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and up to date knowledge of all aspects of health and safety management with a particular focus on Construction Safety and Visitor & Public Safety.
