Our valued client, based in Swansea is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Health and Safety Trainer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is looking for their next big step. You will be playing a key role in supporting students during the education portion of their career in Health and Safety.
This is a fulltime temporary opportunity located in Swansea. Due the nature of the role, this will predominantly be a site-based role 4 days a week, 7.5 hours a day.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality training and assessments in Health and Safety, encompassing general, fire, environmental, construction, and Health and wellbeing sectors.
- Ensure training and assessment strategies are accessible and tailored to diverse learner needs.
- Teach, assess, and monitor learner progress, maintaining accurate records of work and achievement.
- Contribute to course reviews, development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow statutory duty of care for personal safety and report hazardous situations or defective equipment.
- Proven track record in a Health and Safety environment.
- Commercial knowledge, experience, and understanding of industry, including training needs.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and administrative skills.
- Attention to detail, ability to work on own initiative, and excellent IT/ILT skills.
- Creative, innovative, and enthusiastic.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Level 4 qualification or equivalent in Health & Safety.
- NEBOSH General Certificate.
- Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent) literacy & numeracy qualification.
- Enhanced Child DBS
- IOSH
- Registered WBL Practitioner
