Assisting with the promotion of the service through liaison with relevant community, voluntary and statutory organisations.To assist with the clerical and financial records, learn about budgetary control and record all income and expenditure in relation to scheme.To learn about the requirements of the relevant funding body.To maintain confidentiality at all times in accordance with data protection legislation.To adhere to all the policies and procedures of the Good Morning Project and of West Bann Development.Any other duties that shall contribute to the development or maintenance of the service and centre.To assist the Room Supervisor in creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for the children and their families.To assist the Room Supervisor in the running of the Early Years Programmes.To assist with the setup of the childcare facilities before each session and tidying away at the end of the session. The assistant will assist the Room Supervisor in ensuring a high standard of hygiene is followed and ensure that equipment and resources are checked on a daily basis while completing the Risk Assessments.To assist and ensure that all relevant records are kept up to date at all times. This includes the Daily Register, Accident/Incident Reports, Risk Assessments and handover book, cleaning records etc.Ensure that you read, understand and adhere to the policies and procedures of West Bann Development.To be vigilant and protect the children from harm or abuse in accordance with the Child Protection and Whistleblowing Policy. .

Minimum of 4 'O' Levels/GCSEs grade A-C including Maths, ICT and English.Ability to deal with the general public.Organisational ability.Ability to maintain confidentiality.Ability to prioritise work.Be a good team worker.Be proficient in the use of email, internet and Microsoft Office. , Knowledge and understanding of funding in the voluntary sector.Ability to work flexible hours.Experience of working in the community/voluntary sector.Ability to work well under pressure.Involvement in voluntary community work.Third level qualification.ECDL or equivalent qualification.
