In this role you will act as internal Health & Safety Consultant to provide legal and technical advice to the organisation. You will assist with the development and maintenance of the organisations Safety Management System, ensuring that any changes to statutory obligations are reflected in Policy and Procedure and compliance with UK legislation is achieved.
You will be responsible for the maintenance of the safety management system, database, and the analysis of statistical information. You will also assist with the development and delivery of corporate campaigns that engage the organisations workforce, through shared values and beliefs that help to promote a positive health and safety culture.
Part of this role will also require you to undertake regular health and safety audits across the organisation, therefore this is a role where there is a requirement for regular travel and occasional overnight stops a full UK driving license is essential.
For this role its essential that you have NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate, and be a full member of a relevant professional body (Eg IOSH/CIEH).
We also require you to have at least one years post experience in a Health and Safety practitioner role with in depth knowledge of Health & Safety law and practice. Relevant experience working within a multi-site/multi-disciplinary organisation, alongside experience in solving complex, and sometimes potentially contentious problems and providing creative solutions.
