As Health, Safety and Environmental manager you will be reporting into the Technical Director, whilst liaising with the entirety of the site to ensure all safety measures and processes are adhered to in conjunction with the sites COMAH regulations.
You ensure they are carried out in accordance with Company policy statements, management systems and all statutory obligations.

Description
As Health, Safety and Environmental Manager you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
- A key stakeholder of the associated COMAH disciplines; ATEX, MATTE, DSEAR, SIL, HAZOP, PHR, LOPA, Human Factors and MAH
- Coordinate, manage, maintain and improve upon the Company's Integrated Management Systems in association to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 whilst working closely with the Quality Assurance Manager to comply with international standard and statutory obligations
- Site nominated DGSA advisor and Chairman of the Site Health, Safety, Operational and Committee meetings, offering advise and strategy to best improve site safety processes
- Manage all aspects of environmental procedures in accordance to COMAH, ERP and ISO 14001, whilst advocating COSHH assessments on site
- Run regular audits of Health and Safety Systems, maintain the Company's current EPR authorisations
Profile
The successful Health, Safety and Environmental Manager will be someone who is personable and engaging with on site colleagues in order to maintain their adherence to the regulations on site. By actively engaging and building a rapport with your colleagues, you will enable create a healthy atmosphere that sees everyone buy into the strict policies on site.
As Health, Safety and Environmental manager you will have experience of operating within the Chemical Manufacturing Industry and have evidence of improved behaviours within your previous roles. You will have had at least 5 years experience of engaging actively with Upper Tier COMAH site and Environmental Permitting regulations.
It is also very advantageous should you have a Degree Level Qualification within a relevant scientific discipline whilst holding the relevant Health and Safety qualifications such as; NEBOSH or IOSH.
Whilst also having a working knowledge of quality management systems, standards, procedures and internal auditing, this make ensures that computer literacy is paramount.
