Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Responsible for the day-to-day running of the NDT operational requirements within the site and the staff reporting directly to him. This includes standing in for Site Manager as and when required.
• Responsible for all aspects of each project, ensuring the safe and effective completion of work on time and to agreed quality standards.
• Direct communication with Applus site planning manager and site supervisors regarding work planning, work co-ordination and scheduling of monthly operational requirements including reporting of site matters/issues to the Site Manager.
• Liaison with Planning Manager in particular regards to planning forthcoming shutdown requirements and dealing with related issues.
• Analysing the state of alignment between NDT plan and proposed maintenance schedule -look for ways to resolve any misalignments.
• Assisting the Commercial/Planning Departments with project / contract costing.
• Providing status update to Heads of Maintenance regarding costs and work schedule status per unit when required.
• Identifying improvements to the interface between Applus UK, other site contractors and PU Maintenance and inspection teams.
• Keeping informed with all technical developments for all product lines and be able to discuss these with the site inspection team.
• Ensuring site compliance with UKAS requirements, equipment calibration status, personnel competence, Procedure compliance and NDT reporting in a timely manner.

Requirements:

• Must be PCN Level II Qualified in; MPI, DPI, UT, Phased Array & ToFD - PCN/ASNT Level 3 in one or more disciplines would also be beneficial.
• Proven leadership experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to manage in accordance to clients expectations.
• Ability to work on their own initiative and in a team environment.
