Job description

We are looking for someone to join us to support our Health Safety and Wellbeing Lead, to deliver the health Safety and Wellbeing plan and business as usual tasks. You will be self-motivated, proactive and flexible, with excellent problem solving skills and experience in Health, Safety & Wellbeing.

You will be a strong communicator (written and verbal) and be able to manage a varied workload to deliver a high-quality service.

You will carry out day to day tasks supporting our people and promoting a positive health, Safety and Wellbeing culture. Other tasks will include reviewing and amending documents, consulting with colleagues, systems administration, action tracking and stakeholder engagement. You will implement the wellbeing plan and support the wellbeing network and mental health first aiders.

You will participate in an on-call rota providing 24/7 support to our lone workers. This equates to approx.1 week in six with some flexibility.

Office Attendance

All of our office-based roles are contractually located at Temple Quay House in Bristol. We encourage office attendance to foster collaboration, conversation, group creativity and employee wellbeing. You will be expected to attend Temple Quay House at least 12 times a year. Depending on your role, you may be required to attend more often than 12 times a year either permanently or temporarily to ensure we deliver our services in the most efficient and effective way for our customers. Person specification

Essential Criteria

  • Ability to work on own initiative and effectively organise and manage a varied workload.
  • A high standard of written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience and good understanding of full range of MS applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience working in a Health, Safety and Wellbeing environment
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety

Desirable Criteria

  • Ability to learn and manage IT systems such as Hornbill, Orbis and Awaken
  • Willingness to undertake the NEBOSH Diploma
  • Training delivery qualification
