Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor
Working closely with Senior Management, Site leadership and also a Global HSE team, this stand -alone role within a forward thinking, Lean Manufacturing business, will allow the successful individual to continue with the already successful positive H&S culture within the organisation. With sound experience in Health and Safety as well internal auditing and compliance, people skills are essential for this role as is an approachable and pragmatic approach.
Key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Taking on full HS&E responsibility for the main UK facility and other smaller sites
- Championing the safety culture and lead associated changes across the UK organisation
- Fulfilling the role of Lead Safety and Environment Management System Representative for the UK
- Providing Management Systems interface to customers and suppliers
- Managing the internal audit process
- Implementing and maintaining externally provided HSE training to support e-learning modules
- Maintaining accreditation for ISO14001 and ISO45001
- Monitoring standards and modifying existing documentation
- Day to day management of the H&S Portal
- Managing the surveillance and recertification audit schedules for all ISO certifications at the UK facilities
- Being a proactive member of the Global Health &Safety team
- Chair the UK Health and Safety Committee
Key skills and experience required for the HS&E Advisor:
- NEBOSH qualified
- Internal auditing experience
- Risk assessments
- Regulatory compliance management systems experience
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Confident and approachable with a pragmatic attitude
- Experience in cross functional team collaboration
- Experience of working within a Lean Manufacturing environment (preferred)
