Health and Safety Manager - FMCG Manufacturing Company
Salary: £45,000
Location: Lancashire
Shift Pattern: Mon to Thur - 8:30 - 5pm AND Fri - 8-1:30pm
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join an FMCG Manufacturer as a Health and Safety Manager. In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind ensuring legislation and compliance are consistently met, meticulously maintaining records, and overseeing the overall safety of the factory floor and team. You will be at the forefront on ensuring legislation and compliance is up to date. Corroborating that the factory floor is in order from a H+S standpoint and that all records are up to date.
This role is paramount to the everyday workings of the business.
Your responsibilities will include
- liaising with contractors to guarantee up-to-date qualifications
- validating that electrical and mechanical equipment complies with current legislation, and conducting regular fire testing and alarm checks. With 2 direct reports, one part-time and one full-time,
- you'll also take charge of the site's infrastructure, creating a secure workplace. Regular check-ins with staff will be crucial, confirming the proper usage of PPE, and you'll be instrumental in driving projects related to traceability within the business.
Skills Required for Health and Safety Manager:
- Relevant qualifications in Health and Safety management
- Previous experience in a managerial role
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Familiarity with safety protocols and compliance requirements
