Health & Safety Manager/Officer is required by a high-tech company based in Rugby.
Consideration for both full or part time.
Due to the growth of the business, the HR Manager requires an experienced and self-sufficient H&S professional to manage the day-to-day H&S functions within the manufacturing sites.
The Health & Safety Manager/Officer will be responsible for ensuring that the company complies with health and safety regulations while advising and training employees and managers in their efforts to maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting workplace risk assessments to identify hazards that can harm people and observe the effectiveness of controls and safe ways of working.
- Provide Method Statements necessary to ensure safe working practices both in house and on customer premises.
- Carry out assessments of working practices of all areas within the company to enable the company to work in line with Health & Safety legislation.
- Produce and maintain an inspection list to facilitate an audit of procedures employed by the company.
- Delivering training and education about safe systems of work so they can keep the company’s employees safe and healthy.
- Advising businesses on how to protect the health, safety, and welfare of employees in the workplace.
- Manage H&S quarterly review meetings and provide regular compliance audits for senior management.
- Monitoring working conditions and the effective application of risk controls, including helping management to ensure that all employees follow the rules regarding health and safety.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Preferably educated to Bachelor’s degree level or vocational qualification.
- Qualified NEBOSH and IBOSH status.
- Self-sufficient in prioritising and managing own workload.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experienced and knowledgeable with Health and Safety regulations and legislation.
- An understanding of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001: 2015 Environmental Management Systems and
- ISO 45001: Occupational Health and Safety would be beneficial.
- 5+ years' experience in the same role
- Experience within manufactory industry.

Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 5.30pm, Friday 8.30am – 1.00pm - Competitive rates of pay depending upon experience
