Hours: FULL TIME Monday to Friday

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Safety Health and Environmental Officer to join my client based in the Wigan area. The successful candidate will oversee the Health Safety and Environmental activities at the Site. You will be proactive, process driven and a highly organised candidate, who can demonstrate experience within a similar role, or has some experience within a factory/warehouse environment in an administrative/compliance role.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Ensure all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental are adhered to
• Work closely with the Site Manager and Operations team to achieve site action plans
• Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators against targets and advise site team of appropriate/necessary actions required
• Liaise with Site Management team in the implementation of sites environmental and safety management systems (ISO 14001, BES 6001 etc)
• Implement company policy at all times i.e. compliance with regulations and permits

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:

• IOSH Working Safely
• Risk Assessment Experience
• NEBOSH National certificate
• NEBOSH General Environmental Certificate
• National Compliance and Risk Qualifications (NCRQ)

• Be able to prioritise work loads
• Have effective organisational skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
• Confidence to deal with people at all levels
• Good attention to detail with a practical Can do attitude
• Be self Motivated
