Role Overview: As a Health & Safety/Environmental Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the HSE Manager in implementing and maintaining the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental strategy. This position involves conducting safety inspections, HSE audits, investigating incidents, and actively participating in the development and improvement of our HSE performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the HSE Manager in achieving the goals and objectives of the HSE strategy.
- Conduct safety inspections and HSE audits across the site.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and Near Misses, reporting findings to the HSE Manager.
- Update and monitor actions logged to the HSE Action Tracker system for completion.
- Assist in the completion and review of risk assessments, including General, Machine, COSHH, and Manual Handling.
- Maintain document controls to ensure compliance with the Integrated Management System.
- Collaborate with the Training Manager to carry out and facilitate HSE training.
- Review and monitor existing policies, attending HSE meetings with internal and external groups.
- Enforce site rules and perform any other duties as reasonably required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- NEBOSH – National General Certificate.
- Ability to work with production teams daily and challenge inappropriate practices.
- Demonstrate due diligence and attention to detail.
- Proactive, effective, and motivated team player with strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Keen interest in continually improving HSE performance.
