Job Title: Health Care Assistant
Location: Retford, Nottinghamshire
Hours: Full-time
Salary: 10.50 - 11.00 per hour
We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join a team of exceptional carers. The ideal candidates will be passionate about providing person-centered care to the residents, ensuring they receive the highest standard of support with daily activities, personal care, and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing.
- Support residents with mobility issues, ensuring they remain safe and comfortable.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a warm and nurturing environment.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, adhering to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Encourage residents to participate in recreational activities and social events, promoting social interaction and engagement.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, including daily logs and incident reports.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care delivery.
- Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations to uphold the highest standards of care and safety.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar care role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is advantageous.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in residents' lives.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently when required.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
