About the Practice
Lakeside St Neots is in a lovely town location with around 21,000 patients. We are a diverse and dynamic team of GPs, Pharmacists, Physios, Social Prescribers, Practice Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Nursing Associates, Emergency Care Practitioners and ANPs.
Job Introduction
We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join our team providing general practice services including; Phlebotomy, ECGs, wound care/simple dressings, Administering Injections such as Flu and Pneumonia, long term condition reviews, such as diabetes, asthma, NHS Health checks, INR clinics, Learning disabilities, smoking cessation etc.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated and enthusiastic in delivering high quality care to our patients.
Experience managing chronic disease reviews is essential.
Experience of using system one or similar system is desirable.
What you will do
All aspects of Healthcare assistant care, with potential to develop skills in line with the needs of the business and your personal interests
We are looking to upskill our team with appropriate skills in Chronic Disease management
Essential Criteria
- English and Maths at grade C or above
- Willingness to undertake training to enhance the team and services we offer to our patients
- Self-motivated and a good team player ability to priorities and organize workload with good time management.
- Previous primary care experience
- Experience of chronic disease reviews, diabetes, asthma
- HCA training or care certificate
