HGV Class 1 Tipper Driver

About us

Cheshire Haulage (part of Cheshire Waste Skip Hire Ltd) is a small family business based in Backford, Chester. We operate artic bulk tippers carrying Animal Feed & Aggregates. We are TASCC & FORS registered. We are looking for a HGV Driver to join our expanding team. Experience and an MPQC (EPIC) card would be a benefit but not essential.

Truck Driver

Duties:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance tasks
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members

Experience:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for operating commercial vehicles
- Ability to navigate using GPS or other routing systems
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
