Russian speaking Proof-reader and Editorial Assistant

The company:

Main duties:
Carry out a variety of duties in processing documents and support Russian translation section's work.

The role:
- Proofread Russian texts for precision, quality and conformity with established standards and policies
- Ensure processing and Editorial changes have been accurately and successively incorporated
- Edit, insert corrections, format and prepare documents, include complex tables, reports, special layouts, merging, collating
- Verify grammar syntax, references quoted, concordance of Russian texts with the original documents to ensure an accurate translation
- Consult editors, translators make proposals in the case of any omissions or discrepancies between the original and the translated text
- Check all components of the original text source are correctly reflected in the final edited and translated document
- Convert texts into different formats using various software programs and check the converted text for accuracy
- Deal efficiently with high volumes of documents and work independently in order to meet competing document deadlines

The candidate:
- Fluent in Russian & English written and spoken is essential
- Thoroughness and attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy of output
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Sense of initiative and capacity to work independently
- Positive attitude, flexibility and willingness to work late hours, even at short notice
- Thrive in working in a multicultural environment & establish working relationships

The salary: £40,000 per annum
