HGV Driver Yard Person
7:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday to Friday (30 mins unpaid break)
We are looking to recruit someone with a Class 1 licence for vehicle delivery and collections who is able and keen to also maintain the upkeep of our Head Office site.
The majority of our HGV’s are rigids but there are occasions where Class 1 is required.
Hours worked above 40 are paid at time & a half, £19.50 & hours worked before 07:00 are at double time: £26.00

Duties include:
- Delivering and collection HGVs and LGV’s throughout the UK to customers, dealers and between our depots.
- The role therefore requires someone who is in good health and is physically able to climb in and out of the trucks/vans with ease.
- Filling out ‘check sheets’ when you drop-off and pick-up a vehicle to report any existing/new damages
- A variety of yard duties including but not limited to, maintaining the cleanliness of the workshops, odd jobs around the exterior of the building, painting, loading and unloading.
CLASS 1 License Holders – hourly rates breakdown:
- 40 hours x £13.00 = £520.00 x 52 weeks = £27,040.00
- 7.5 hours x £18.00 = £146.25 x 52 weeks = £7,605.00
TOTAL Average Potential Earnings Per Annum = £34,645.00
