Job Description
The HGV Fleet Technician's duties and responsibilities are:
- Manage and maintain the company's fleet of heavy goods vehicles
- Ensure all vehicles meet safety standards and regulations
- Carry out routine inspections and maintenance tasks
- Provide technical advice and guidance to the logistics team
- Order parts and equipment as required
- Monitor and manage fuel consumption
- Prepare vehicles for annual MOT tests
- Keep accurate records of vehicle service history
The Successful Applicant
The successful HGV Fleet Technician should have:
- Qualifications or Diploma in Heavy Vehicle Repair & Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Experience in managing and maintaining a fleet of vehicles
- A thorough understanding of HGV safety regulations and standards
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent record-keeping abilities
- Proficiency in using vehicle diagnostic systems
- A valid HGV driving licence
