Service Care Solutions is seeking Vehicle Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of vehicles in Middlesbrough.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Fleet Maintenance and Repair:

• Perform maintenance and repair tasks on a variety of vehicles.


• Ensure all vehicles are kept in top condition, ready for operation.

MOT and Taxi Tests:

• Conduct MOT and taxi tests adhering to Ministry of Transport standards.


• Prepare and submit vehicles for MOT and HGV annual tests.

Fault Diagnosis and Repairs:

• Diagnose vehicle faults, identify necessary parts, and carry out repairs.


• Ensure the roadworthiness of all vehicles, including minor bodywork repairs.

Advanced Diagnostic Work:

• Perform advanced diagnostics on auto electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Complete all relevant paperwork, including reports on vehicle conditions.


• Report vehicles deemed uneconomical to repair.

Breakdown Assistance:

• Attend and resolve vehicle breakdowns as needed.

Requirements:

• Qualifications:
  
  
  
  • City and Guilds Motor Vehicle Craft qualification or a recognised motor vehicle maintenance qualification.
  
  
  
  


• Experience:
  
  
  
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a vehicle workshop or fleet maintenance environment.
  
  
  • Proficient in servicing and repairing vehicles ranging from light commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes and HGVs between 3.5 tonnes and 32 tonnes.
  
  
  
  


• Technical Skills:
  
  
  
  • Ability to utilise specialist workshop management software for creating work orders, job cards, and diagnostic reports to DVSA standards.
  
  
  
  


• Licenses:
  
  
  
  • Hold a current category B driving license.
  
  
  
  


• Flexibility:
  
  
  
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional unsocial hours, to complete allocated work.
  
  
  
  

Working hours are Monday to Friday 7am-3pm or 9am-5pm (candiate might be asked to work 7am-5pm)

Rate of Pay: £27.02 Umbrella Per Hour
