Shift; Weekly Rotating shifts 6:00am-2:00pm and 1pm-10pm Monday to Friday
Our client, a successful and well-established company based in Loughborough are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join their Workshop Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively maintaining commercial vehicles, trailers and HGVs to DVSA standards, supporting the business in its mission of protecting value, as well as maintenance of external customers’ vehicles.

The HGV Technician Role;
- Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles, trailers and HGVs to DVSA standards and company standard
- Diagnose and rectify all types of faults, working using own initiative, ensuring cost effective and safe repairs to an extremely high standard
- Attend and repair vehicles at customer sites
- Ensure that all vehicles worked on are handled carefully and that precautions are taken
- Ensure that Health and Safety regulations and the company safe systems of work and processes are adhered to at all times
- Ensure all jobs are recorded accurately, ensuring all job cards and service sheets are actioned in the agreed timescale
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the shift
Our Ideal HGV Technician Candidate;
- Experience in repairing and maintaining LGVs and HGVs
- Able to run diagnostics and fault-finding on vehicles
- A technician qualification related to commercial vehicles (City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Current Full Driving Licence as the role will involve travelling to customer sites
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work from own initiative and with minimal supervision
- Good service skills when dealing with customers
