Job description
I am working with a growing commercial client in the Sevenoaks area. My client is seeking a dedicated and experienced HGV Technician to join them ASAP. As a dedicated HGV Technician you will be required to provide high-quality maintenance and repair services for HGVs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs to ensure they are roadworthy and meet regulatory standards.
* Diagnose and rectify faults and issues with HGVs using appropriate diagnostic equipment and tools.
* Conduct safety inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT testing.
* Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including parts used and time spent on each job.
* Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner and to a high standard of quality.
* Collaborate with other team members and communicate effectively with the workshop manager.
* Stay updated with the latest industry developments and technical advancements

* Monday to Friday, with Saturdays worked on a rota basis

Requirements:
* Proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role.
* Relevant qualifications in vehicle maintenance and repair (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent).
* Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* A valid driver’s license, with HGV license preferred but not essential.
* Live within a commutable distance to Sevenoaks
