I am recruiting a Multi-site LCV Technician is the Maidstone, Kent area. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing light commercial vehicles across multiple locations. This role demands a high degree of flexibility, technical skill, and the ability to manage varying workloads and environments.
The Multi-site LCV Technician will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of light commercial vehicles across multiple sites. The technician must ensure all vehicles are in optimal working condition and comply with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in light commercial vehicles.
* Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns.
* Utilise diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot vehicle issues.
* Interpret diagnostic results to provide accurate repair solutions.
* Travel between multiple sites to provide maintenance and repair services as required.
* Manage workload efficiently to cover all assigned locations within scheduled timelines.
* Maintain accurate records of all inspections, maintenance, and repair work performed.
* Report any major issues or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
* Ensure all work complies with industry standards, company policies, and safety regulations.
* Keep abreast of the latest technical information and updates related to light commercial vehicles.
* Communicate effectively with site managers and other stakeholders to coordinate service schedules.
* Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns and providing vehicle maintenance advice.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Technical certification in automotive repair (preferred).
* Minimum of 3 years of experience as an LCV technician.
* Experience working in a multi-site role is advantageous.
Skills:
* Proficient in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
* Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
* Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
* Effective communication and customer service skills.
Licenses and Certifications:
* Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
* Certification from recognised automotive institutions (ASE certification preferred).
Working Conditions:
* Regular travel between sites is required.
* Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
* Ability to work in various environments, including outdoor conditions.
