We are seeking a HGV Technician to join our team at site in Newbury, Berkshire where you will carry out the repair, maintenance and servicing of our vehicles.
THE SALARY
Up to £39,904 per annum depending on experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Carry out routine vehicle maintenance ensuring we are VOSA standard compliant.
- Responsible for the preparation of our vehicles for MOT testing.
- Perform regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services such as tyre rotation and oil changes.
- Maintain inventory in the workshop and cleanliness from oil spills and dust.
- Working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for the vehicles.
- Maintaining records of vehicles that have been repaired or handled.
- Providing repair services to clients on the road in case of emergencies.
- Completing relevant documentation and paperwork as required and providing warranty claims or escalating them to higher management.
- Carry out repairs in accordance with current Health and Safety legislation and company policy.
- Provide in-house training to recruits and trainees.
Qualifications. A Level 2 in English & Maths desirable not essential. HGV engineering qualification or equivalent and a HGV driving licence.
Experience. Previous experience is essential. You will work well under pressure, have the ability to actively seek solutions and problems and demonstrate rigorous fault-finding skills.
Communication. Show us that you have excellent communication skills, spoken and written, be able to build good working relationships with work colleagues and our customers and have the ability to engage and communicate with audiences made up of a diverse background across all areas of EV Cargo.
