We are looking to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work as part of our existing staff team. The role will include whole class and group teaching, interventions and cover for PPA. This will include working alongside the class teachers to understand what support is required. We would like somebody who is able to model a positive attitude to the children with a good understanding of the wide range of primary curriculum subjects.

• Good communication skills with children and adults
• The ability to be flexible and to use their own initiative
• Proficiency in basic maths and English skills
• The ability to use ICT effectively
• A love of learning
• Achievement of the Professional Standards for Higher Level Teaching Assistants or able to demonstrate equivalent experience as approved by the Head teacher

The pattern of working hours would be as follows:
Monday - Friday
8:30pm-3:30pm
You will have oversight of the work of Teaching Assistants and midday supervisory assistants. You will be a point of contact for families and support with our commitment to parental engagement. As part of your induction, you will be trained as designated safeguarding lead.
Visits to the school are warmly encouraged.
