We are looking for an amazing HLTA to work alongside our dedicated and supportive staff to deliver teaching to whole classes across the school. You will primarily be covering classes to provide the Planning, Preparation and Assessment time for teachers but may also be asked to cover during other absences too. You will have a background of teaching whole classes and have relevant training to Level 4. You will also be able to demonstrate that you meet all the HLTA standards and are flexible in teaching in various year groups.
The successful candidate must have excellent social and organisational skills and be able to work as part of a great team. They will promote high standards of behaviour throughout school in accordance with Behaviour Policy. The role includes some planning and organisation of activities and learning environments for children, as well as supporting teachers in the completion of assessment and other pupil records. This may also include the development and preparation of curriculum materials.
The duties of the Higher Level Teaching Assistant complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision.This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or short term for whole classes and monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupils achievement, progress and development.
