We are seeking inspiring Higher Level Teaching Assistants to deliver high-quality teaching and learning throughout schools in Plymouth. The ideal candidates will be committed to creating a creative and stimulating learning environment for all children and will work collaboratively with teachers to support the school curriculum and help raise attainment standards.
Day to Day of the role:
- Collaborate with the Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons and interventions as part of the school curriculum.
- Support teachers in raising attainment standards and encouraging children to reach their full potential.
- Plan, organise, and support teaching and learning activities using effective teaching methods.
- Build relationships with and nurture pupils to enable positive educational outcomes.
- Implement positive behaviour strategies to maintain a conducive learning environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working within a primary school or early years setting.
- Understanding of effective teaching methods and the ability to support teaching and learning activities.
- Ability to build relationships and nurture pupils for positive educational outcomes.
- Experience in implementing positive behaviour strategies.
- GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English grade C/4 or above.
- Excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to working.
- NVQ2/3 or equivalent, or working towards the qualification, is desirable.
